A Bit About Me

I have worked for the NHS for over ten years as an Occupational Therapist.

It is a profession that draws upon someone’s ability to be empathetic and caring.  It has brought me into contact with people from all backgrounds and different walks of life, and that sparked my interest in becoming a counsellor.

As a counsellor, my aim is to empower my clients – enabling them to take back control of their lives through personal reflection and to find new perspectives and self-awareness.

I will listen carefully to you and what is troubling you, and help you build a framework to start setting you on your path to new ways of thinking, reacting and coping with your world.

Together we will investigate the real causes of what is troubling you – and help you develop techniques and strategies to feel in control of your life and self. I aim to give you the time and space to talk about what’s going on for you and feel heard.

My Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

  • Professional Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

  • Eight week programme in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

  • Certificate in Counselling Young People.

I can help you if you are experiencing:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Low mood

  • Low self –esteem

  • Lack of direction
